SNL Sends ‘Game of Thrones’ to “South Centros”
In the cutthroat world of HBO’s Game of Thrones, life is hard and even the most innocent people find themselves victimized by the powers that be. So of course SNL would make the comparison between living in Westeros and living on the means streets of Los Angeles. Yes, it’s time to visit the eighth kingdom of this wildly popular fantasy series: South Centros.
‘SNL’ Taps J.K. Simmons as Final Host of January
J. K. Simmons has been giving us ‘Whiplash’ for decades now with head-turning performances in everything from ‘Spider-Man’ to ‘The Legend of Korra,’ but with the ‘Kong: Skull Island’ star finally nominated for an Oscar, that most hallowed of New York institutions will give Simmons his due. J.K. will host the final January ‘SNL’ installment of 2015, no “jk” about it.

‘SNL': Chris Pratt and Aidy Bryant Share a “Booty Rap”
If you went to some kind of comedy university, there would probably be an entire class available on the subject of how awkward white people rapping is inherently pretty funny but difficult to pull off without feeling too hacky. Whether or not 'SNL' pulled it off with last night's "Booty Rap" sketch is something we'll let you decide, but at least guest host Chris Pratt and the always reliable Aidy Bryant attack their material with gusto.

In addition to Sam Smith surprising everyone with his US debut performance, 'Saturday Night Live' opened with a hilarious skit featuring President Obama (played by Jay Pharoah) trying to figure out new ways to get people to sign up at Healthcare.gov. With the help of a White House social media expert, he finds himself taking photos with parody versions of Justin Bieber, Harry Styles of One Directi

‘SNL’ Taps ‘The Big Bang Theory’ Star Jim Parsons as First March Host
We haven't heard much from 'SNL' since Melissa McCarthy hosted the pre-Super Bowl installment on February 1, but given NBC's coverage of the 2014 Winter Olympics, late night took an understandable back seat. Now, with the long-running sketch comedy series due to return on March 1, 'The Big Bang Theory' Emmy winner Jim Parsons will make his hosting debut!

‘SNL’ Says Goodbye to Seth Meyers With the Help of Stefon and Amy Poehler
After years behind the Weekend Update desk, the terrific Seth Meyers is leaving 'SNL' to pursue other projects. And by pursue other projects, we mean "take over as host of 'Late Night' while Jimmy Fallon ascends to 'The Tonight Show.'" Of course, something as important, popular and prominent as Meyers doesn't depart without some kind of send-off and the show sent him off in style. Read M

Andy Samberg's biggest contribution to the 'SNL' legacy were his digital shorts and music videos, where he took the show's format off the stage to create hilarious pre-recorded material that was primed to go viral all over the internet. With his departure, the show has continued to produce short films and recorded sketches, but Kyle Mooney and Beck Bennett’s work has consistently stood out from th

The Ladies of ‘SNL’ Say “Let’s Do It on My Twin Bed”
It's a situation that virtually every couple with a healthy, long term relationship has faced. You and your loved one go home to visit the family and find yourself forced to sleep in your childhood room, most likely on the tiny twin bed that was barely tolerable when you were half your current size. Since this is a 'SNL' sketch, this predicament takes the form of music video, where the ladies of t

‘SNL’ Gives Us a Nightmarish Look at Guy Fieri’s Christmas Special
You don't have to be a foodie to know that Guy Fieri is one of the worst things to happen to televised cooking entertainment (and food in general), so the platinum-haired douche bag of the Food Network is the perfect guy to skewer on 'SNL' and the show doesn't pull its punches. Fieri isn't even the main target: his viewers and everything else they watch get torn to shreds.

‘SNL’ Wants to Take You Dancing
'SNL' digital shorts are often at their best when they simply throw any and all realism to the wind and embrace complete and total absurdism. Last night's episode featured one of the show's strangest sketches ever, a bit that felt radically different than just about everything else in the episode.

‘SNL’ Mourns the Death of Blockbuster in the Strangest Way Possible
When Blockbuster announced that it was officially closing its doors, it was hard to hear for any real movie fans who truly cared. After all, this is the company that helped kill nearly every small video rental chain and relished in carrying a limited selection. So it's not surprising that 'SNL' made a video commemorating the closing of the controversial (at least among cinephiles) company, and it'

‘SNL’ Asks “What Does My Girl Say?”
On one level, 'SNL' should probably be ashamed of itself for being months late to parodying the infamous "What Does the Fox Say?" music video. After all, countless more timely comedy institutions got their riffs on this one out of the way ages ago. However, if anyone is going to have the final word on this memorable viral sensation, it should be 'SNL,' whose take is certainly more accura
