Join The MOOSE and GVLT this June 7th for National Trails Day by helping rebuild and protect our Bozeman area trails!

Each year on the first Saturday in June, GVLT volunteers join communities across the country in celebrating National Trails Day by helping to build and maintain Bozeman’s Main Street to the Mountains trail system.

9:00 a.m. Volunteer Work Projects: Meet at the Lindley Park Pavilion. We’ll lead volunteer crews in trail work, including new trail construction at Highland Glen Nature Preserve and family-friendly trail resurfacing in Lindley Park. Bring your sunscreen, layers for weather, sturdy shoes, hat, and gloves. We will provide some tools, but if possible please bring shovels, rakes, and wheelbarrows.

12:30 p.m. Picnic Lunch: Enjoy a delicious picnic lunch at the Lindley Park Pavilion and learn more about GVLT’s Community Trails Program.

On National Trails Day 2013, almost 200 community members came out to help build almost 5 miles of trails on land owned by Bozeman Deaconess Health Services.
