Bozeman's winter weather continues this week after high wind whipped through the area Tuesday and Wednesday, but more SNOW is what we're looking for and it's supposed to arrive. DETAILS HERE:

('Bout time...) The National Weather Service in Great Falls has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for snow... which is in effect until 3 PM MST
Monday.
There is a FREE avalanche safety course TONIGHT at Bozeman's REI at 6:30pm specifically for women, taught by a woman. DETAILS HERE!
A Winter Weather Advisory for elevations above 6000 feet remains
in effect until 11 am MST Saturday.
How about some HIGH WIND for good measure? Here are the details: The National Weather Service in Great Falls has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for snow... which is in effect from 5 am Wednesday to 5 am MST Thursday.

Happiness is waking up in a snow covered Bozeman scene to realize that your sidewalk has already been shoveled. I do this at my dad's house all the time, but this morning it was already done at my house.
We forget that flooding can occur in the Winter too....and there is currently a Flood Watch in effect for the Jefferson near Three Forks. The official warning is as follows:

Heads up in the backcountry. It's bad out there.
Folks are triggering avalanches from low angled terrain which are propagating far and wide. Slopes that held early season snow are especially dangerous since the old snow became weak, faceted and sugary. With 1-2 feet of new snow this week it’s difficult to tell which slope is unstable and which is not.
