A human body part found at a Livingston car wash Monday afternoon matches the victim of a fatal hit-and-run on Interstate 90 near Big Timber.

Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Bill Bullock told the Livingston Enterprise that the Sweet Grass County coroner determined the part came from the upper body of the man who was struck and killed Monday morning. He declined to give further details.

The patrol says the man may have been walking from a vehicle found near the scene when he was hit and that he may have been hit several times.

The patrol does not have information on the vehicle or the driver suspected of hitting the man.

Investigators are reviewing surveillance video from cameras adjacent to Interstate 90 exits in the area.
