While it may be past award season in the big leagues, join the MSU School of Film and Photography on the “red carpet” at the 13th annual Tracy Awards — the “Oscar Award’s” for the senior projects made during the 2011-2012 academic year. Join us for a night of laughter, tears, and celebration as we screen graduating class of the School of Film’s theses. From noir throwback, to the dangers lurking on campus, and the gripping final rounds of speech, the Tracy’s hit a variety of notes that resonate with audiences every year.

Audience members will submit their votes for their favorites in each category and the The Tracy Award ceremony will be held at 7 pm Friday, May 4 in The Ellen Theatre. Doors will open at 6:30 pm. Thirteen films will be in contention for the awards, which combine elements of the Oscars and People Choice Awards. Additional awards presented at the Tracys include the Bruce Moore Award for exemplifying helpfulness and motivation in the department, as well as an outstanding faculty member award.
