Bruce Park: Elusive Light
Old Main Gallery and Framing will host the featured exhibition “Elusive Light” by Bruce Park during the month of July. You are invited to join us for an Opening Reception on Wednesday, June 28th, from 5-7pm.
Park is known for his amazing Montana skyscapes and landscapes. This body of work represents the intuitive expression Bruce sees and feels in a visual language that invites the viewer to experience the splendor and magnificence of Montana. “Light is constantly transforming the landscape, never to repeat itself. As an artist, I feel a personal challenge to capture this fugitive light that changes day-by-day, minute-by-minute. When I am about to convey a sense of light that elicits my emotional response to the landscapes’ beauty and majesty, then my creative undertaking has been accomplished.”
Bruce has been drawing, printmaking and painting for over 35 years. His professional art career began in 1986 upon completion of a BFA in drawing and an MFA in painting from Montana State University. Currently, Bruce makes his living doing both fine art and graphic design. In the last 30 years, he has participated in 60 solo/two person exhibitions and over 110 group/invitational exhibitions. His paintings belong to more than 80 corporate, public and private collections.
