The Gallatin River remains under a flood watch this week, probably for the next several days with warmer temperatures melting the snow pack from higher elevations.

The Flood Warning will remain in effect until the river falls below and remains below flood stage. With periods of rain and melting snow expected this week...the east Gallatin river is likely to remain near or above flood stage for the next several days.

Currently...the east Gallatin river has a river reading near 4.75 feet. Minor flooding is likely occurring in nearby low lying areas...including some driveways...pastures...and Barrow ditches.

Other locations likely being impacted include: swamp Road... Dry Creek Road... Penwell bridge... Nelson Road... Hamilton Road... Spaulding bridge Road... and milesnick range grazing area.

A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or has been reported. Stream rises will be slow and flash flooding is not expected. However...all interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.
