Good news for fans of the Hold Steady, 'Game of Thrones' or both: The Brooklyn indie rockers have recorded a version of 'The Bear and the Maiden Fair' -- a song that turns up several times in George R.R. Martin's 'Song of Ice & Fire' novels -- for the forthcoming third season of the HBO drama.

The new season of 'Thrones,' a series based on Martin's books, is slated to premiere March 28, though it's not yet known which episode will feature the Steady jam, so your best bet may be watching them all. This isn't the first time an indie band recorded music for 'Game of Thrones,' as the National whipped up a version of 'The Rains of Castamere' that was featured during last season of the show.

But it probably is the first 'Game of Thrones' tie-in with Record Store Day. Yes, that's right, the Hold Steady song also will be available on limited-edition vinyl exclusively through your local record store on April 20. Get more info about the big day here.
