It's still seven long months away, but at least it's a date. Radiohead have revealed plans to return to the studio in September to begin working on a follow-up to their 2011 album 'The King of Limbs.'

Lead guitarist Jonny Greenwood first gave out that juicy tidbit of news during an interview with Africa’s Mail & Guardian, where he was promoting the Children’s Radio Foundation charity.

“[Radiohead] are on a nine-month break until September when they will start work on their ninth album," reads the original Mail & Guardian story.

That was followed by an interview Greenwood gave earlier today (Feb. 13) to BBC 6 Music. “We’re taking some time out whilst people are doing some other stuff, doing their own things, and the plan is to get back together again [at the] end of the summer,” he told the station.

Greenwood's Children's Radio Foundation is a Unicef-funded charity that's training children at 50 radio stations across Africa. Greenwood is an ambassador for CRF, and he's also celebrating the related event World Radio Day (that's today) with a pop-up radio station that you can listen to here.
