Well, we could have seen this one coming. In spite of pop sensation Justin Bieber's recent run of negative headlines stemming from his... let's say greener, less role model-friendly habits, it seems 'SNL' is doubling down on the Biebs. The long-running NBC sketch comedy series has officially tapped the Canadian superstar to both host, and perform on an upcoming episode, but will Bieber fever overtake 'SNL'? Find out when you can catch Justin's latest gig inside!

Some days, we really lament that whole "Mayan Apocalypse" thing never worked out. Meanwhile, on a completely unrelated note, NBC has officially confirmed that teen pop superstar Justin Bieber will cash in on his talents pulling 'SNL' double duty as both host, and musical guest Saturday, February 9!

Bieber previously hinted at the possibility of his future 'SNL' involvement over Twitter, without confirming he'd fulfill both roles. The sought-after star joins a star-studded roster of guest hosts 'SNL' has lined up for 2013, beginning January 19 with 'The Hunger Games' star Jennifer Lawrence and musical guest The Lumineers, and continuing January 26 with Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine hosting and Kendrick Lamar performing.

Bieber's appearance on February 9 will largely be in support of his upcoming "Believe Acoustic" album, due out January 29. Previously, the star appeared on 'SNL' in a 2010 Tina Fey-hosted episode singing “U Smile” in a sketch. He also appeared in The Lonely Island's 100th digital short.

What say you? Does the Biebs have what it takes to take both 'SNL' roles? Tell us in the comments if you'll watch Justin Bieber on 'Saturday Night Live' on February 9!
