We're all cramming as much outdoor fun into our summer as possible. Do NOT forget that Montana does have its fair share of snakes, including rattlesnakes. We can't think of a quicker way for a good day to go south.
Tyler Stods put together a nice, summertime compilation of cool stuff to do around Bozeman. His trip included everything from hot pots in Yellowstone and hiking in the Bridgers to spying on trout.
Sunday had decent weather and was a great day to enjoy area trails such as Drinking Horse. Although no trauma occurred, a man fell down after losing consciousness and was taken to Bozeman Deaconess.
You don't have to hike a technically difficult trail to get hurt. A broken wrist while hiking on Drinking Horse trail became serious and required a rescue.
If you're new to town or have just never been to Emerald Lake south of Bozeman, Russ McElyea and his buddy take you on a tour (up and back) on their dirt bikes.
Hop on the in-town trails you know and love with a trail guide from GVLT this week. There will be special kid friendly (and focused) walks too. You'll have lunchtime and evening options with a full schedule here.
Saturday June 20th is the Longest Day of Trails celebration in Bozeman and your entire family is invited to participate! It lasts ALL DAY so whenever you can join the fun, head to the trails around the area!
