While the Cure have played one-off concerts and festivals in the U.S. over the past few years, the English rockers haven’t properly toured in the states in nearly a decade. That will soon change, as the band has just announced the first concerts of an upcoming 25-date North American tour.

So far, Robert Smith and company have revealed three U.S. dates for their 2016 tour. They'll play L.A.’s Hollywood Bowl on May 22, Chicago’s UIC Pavilion on June 10 and New York City’s Madison Square Garden on June 18. The Twilight Sad will serve as the opener for all three shows (Smith is a big fan of the Scottish post-punk outfit; he covered their song, “There’s a Girl in the Corner,” to terrific effect back in May).

Those are just the initial stops in a North American jaunt that will include 25 dates in all. The complete schedule will be announced in January.

The Cure’s last North American tour coincided with the band’s most recent album, 4:13 Dream, which arrived back in 2008.
