Bozeman streets were slick Monday morning with a fresh layer of snow. We could see a few more inches in the mountains by tonight with a Winter Weather Advisory until 11pm.

According to the National Weather Service:

  • THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GREAT FALLS HAS ISSUED A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR WINTER DRIVING CONDITIONS ON MOUNTAIN PASSES DUE TO FALLING SNOW.
  • IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM MST THIS EVENING.
  • LOCATIONS... RAYNOLDS PASS... BOULDER... BOULDER HILL... ELK PARK PASS... HOMESTAKE PASS... WHITEHALL... BATTLE RIDGE PASS... BOZEMAN... BOZEMAN PASS... TARGHEE PASS... WEST YELLOWSTONE.
  • SNOW ACCUMULATIONS - AN ADDITIONAL 1 TO 2 INCHES ON MOUNTAIN PASSES, 2 TO 4 ADDITIONAL INCHES IN THE MOUNTAINS.
  • TIMING - PERIODS OF SNOW OVER SOUTHWEST MONTANA WILL GRADUALLY DIMINISH TO SNOW SHOWERS THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING.
  • WINTER DRIVING CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED OVER THE MOUNTAIN PASSES AND HIGHER ELEVATION HIGHWAYS.
  • TRAVELERS SHOULD ALLOW EXTRA TIME TO ACCOUNT FOR AREAS OF REDUCED VISIBILITY IN SNOW AS WELL AS SNOW COVERED AND ICY ROADWAYS.
