Tomorrow, Wednesday, June 7 from 5 to 10:30 a.m. (dependent on weather), Yellowstone Park staff will temporarily close public access to the North Rim Drive of the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone to conduct helicopter operations.

Park staff will move 25 loads (1,000 lbs each) of build-able rock by helicopter for the Canyon Rim renovation and restoration efforts launched in 2016. The operation will be conducted from the Brink of the Lower Falls parking lot. Trails staff will stage at all surrounding public access point barricades during the ongoing operation.
