The Bozeman Public Library Foundation is now taking nominations for this year's Cornerstone Award, presented annually to someone who has supported and helped build our rich, cultural community here in the Gallatin Valley. Nominations will be received through March 6.

For the fifth consecutive year, our local Bozeman firefighters have assembled a Stairclimb Team to compete at the annual Scott Firefighters Stairclimb in Seattle. The Bozeman Firefighters IAFF L613 team will once again join the fight in raising money for cancer research. Do your part by helping them with current fundraising efforts ahead of the competition on March 8, 2015.

The good folks from The Gallatin Valley Food Bank have informed us that this year's Can The Griz food drive is very close. There's still time to beat Missoula! Can The Griz ends at halftime of the football game this Saturday. Your last drop off location for nonperishable food will be at The Club Tavern & Grill (inside the GranTree Inn) on Saturday from 8 am - 3 pm.

Donations are still being accepted as part of the 15th annual Can the Griz food drive, which will officially end at halftime of the Cat/Griz "Brawl of the Wild" football game this Saturday, November 22. A complimentary ticket to the game will be given to the individual or business making the single largest nonperishable food donation to the Gallatin Valley Food Bank.

U2 is getting set to make a week-long visit to The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon next week (beginning November 17) to promote their new album, Songs of Innocence. The 15th annual Can the Griz Food Drive, an off-field competition between MSU and the University of Montana to see which community can collect the most donations for their local food banks, is happening through November 22. If you don't like losing to the Griz and want to give back to the community, donate nonperishable food items at Smith's (1400 N 19th) this Friday!
