The Gallatin Valley Food Bank needs our help in providing food boxes to local families in need this Thanksgiving. They're seeking donations of turkeys and nonperishable food items in the next week to meet the crucial holiday demand. Details here:

The food bank is expecting to give out more food boxes this Thanksgiving than last year. Jill Holden, operations manager, told the Chronicle, "we're  going to pack for 1600. Last year, we ended up doing about 1400." Holden added that the food bank currently only has 38 turkeys, and they have to get at least 1,500 by Wednesday, November, 21.

The Gallatin Valley Food Bank has been distributing Thanksgiving food boxes for 30 years to families in need. They're really counting on us to make it 31! Let's help out our neighbors in need and ensure everyone gets a decent Thanksgiving meal this year.

The food bank is seeking donations of both turkeys and nonperishable food. Donations may be dropped off at the Gallatin Valley Food Bank at 602 Bond St., Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm (Tuesdays until 7 pm). For other donation sites, visit www.gallatinvalleyfoodbank.org.
