Earlier this week, Jack White began his short run of surprise acoustic concerts in the five states he's never played before. The 'day of announcement' shows kicked off Monday in Anchorage, Alaska. Jack then showed up in Boise, ID. The third stop was in Jackson Hole, WY on April 23, where he played two shows. Bozeman resident (and friend of The Moose), Libby Hinshaw, made the road trip and obtained a golden ticket for one these special shows. She sent over these photos:

White is keeping each show (at a very intimate venue) a secret until the day of the performance. He publicizes where he is at 8 a.m. local time via his website and social media accounts. Ticket cost is a mere $3, available in line (cash only) at the venue at noon that day (limited to one per person). White will be accompanied by three musicians, making up an acoustic quartet – Fats Kaplin, Lillie Mae Rische and Dominic Davis. They will be amplified only by ribbon microphones.

Libby said the risky road trip to Jackson Hole was a long day but so worth it in the end:

How sporadic it was, the location, the price, one ticket per person. I'm convinced he did two shows in Jackson Hole to accommodate the much smaller venue (Pink Garter Theatre). I wished they played longer (the only true "disappointment") but only because I didn't want it to ever end. It was the craziest, emotional, exhausting, but 100% worth it 18 hours.

The fourth, and second to last, acoustic show will take place tonight at the Historic Theatre/Performing Arts Rapid City in Rapid City, SD. More info at jackwhiteiii.com.
