"Montana Milestones: Celebrating 150 Years of Montana History" will be the theme of the Montana Historical Society's 41st annual History Conference, a three-day event to be held in Helena from September 18 - 20.

2014 marks the territorial sesquicentennial, which provides inspiration for this year's Montana History Conference. It will welcome historians from Montana and neighboring states to take part in the presentation of several topics, which include cowboy artist Charlie Russell, Native American influences on Montana architecture, and the women's suffrage movement. The Conference will be held at the Red Lion Colonial Hotel in Helena Thursday, September 18 - Saturday, September 20. It's not too late to attend one of the Gravestone Restoration Workshops or the Interpretive Workshop. Visit mhs.mt.gov/Education/ConferencesWorkshops.aspx for all the information.
