The Running Lungs Race will take place along the Gallagator Trail System in Bozeman on Saturday, July 18. Join in a 2K, 5K or 10K Walk/Run to help raise money for lung cancer research and help find a cure for this devastating disease.

Running Lungs Race will start and end at Lindley Center on Saturday, July 18. Race begins at 9 am and will happen rain or shine. Chip timed by Competitive Timing. Top 3 Age Group Awards, Race T-shirts, Finisher Medal for app participants, and a FREE Peakflo Meter to help you find out your lung capacity before and after you race. All proceeds from race donated to Mayo Clinic Lung Cancer Research & Researchers.

This race is also sponsored by Wortman Lung Cancer Foundation 501(c)(3). Linda Wortman, a healthy, active person who never smoked, was shocked to be suddenly diagnosed with lung cancer. Wortman was rushed into surgery in 2008 at Mayo Clinic to remove a 3cm tumor and more than one of her lung lobes. After proper treatment and recovery, her loving husband and coach, Jerry, helped Linda find a new passion for running with only a lung-and-a-half. They recently completed a 5K race in all 50 states and a 10K on 3 continents to bring awareness about lung cancer, which kills more men and women annually than Breast, Prostate, Colon, Kidney and Melanoma Cancers combined.
