PLAYOFFS? Playoffs? You talking about playoffs on the Moose's website? How can I not after the opening weekend of this year's NFL postseason? It did not disappoint.

Giants playoff win
loading...

First off, I'm a New York Giants fan. Did you see Big Blue demoralize the Atlanta Falcons yesterday? I haven't seen domination from them on both sides of the ball in awhile, and it was nice. I could get used to that! I just hope they bring the same discipline and passion with them to Lambeau this Sunday. Any chance Aaron Rodgers has a little rust on his arm after a two week hiatus from live game speed? A real fan can only do more than hope.

I should probably take this opportunity to apologize to my wife. I thought I could just wait until Sunday morning to watch football but the playoff action was intense all weekend. Saturday kicked everything off with a game that featured two rookie starting quarterbacks for the first time in NFL playoff history.  In the end it was T.J. Yates leading the Houston Texans to their first playoff victory in franchise history, over Andy Dalton and the Cincinnati Bengals.

Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints offense looked immortal once again as they ripped apart The Detroit Lions defense. The Saints, who are also in the NFC, are going to be very hard to beat. It's gonna be a really tough road to the Super Bowl for my Giants. I might need some Tebow love from above. I need the devout Giants players to spend some more time Tebowing.

Speaking of Tebow, he did it again. The big guy upstairs really likes this kid! He stepped up on football's biggest stage yesterday and upstaged Big Ben and the Pittsburgh Steelers. It took Tebow and the Broncos one play in overtime to score a touchdown and win the game! What a game and what a weekend of football. Is it Friday yet?
