Social technology, like Facebook, might be a great way for people to keep in touch, but it can also just as easily become a massive hindrance.

Modern technology is pretty cool. Sure, it can be an unessesary distraction at times...but not in this case. It has allowed Specialist Brock Howland, who is stationed in Afghanistan, to witnesses the birth of his son back home in Michigan. Thanks to the video messaging system Skype, Brock got to see his wife Wendy deliver their baby.

It's a handy little app for those of us who road trip often, and thankfully there aren't that many speed traps in our backyard. BUT, when flying across Utah....it's nice to know where they are. Welcome to Trapster.com.

This town is way more boring than I thought. It's well educated, has a booming outdoor lifestyle and goes bananas for live music and cool events. HOWEVER, when it come down to it..... ...we're not much different that the rest of the country...

I love Google street view. I somehow get this voyeuristic excitement when I use it even though I know the images are from the past. I studied abroad in Japan, and since my return, I've used Google Street View to take nostalgic trips through photos of the routes used to bike around town. Very few details are available as to WHY at this point but according to QWEST there is a "major outage in the Montana Central office".  They are doing everything they can to restore service to their customers but the outage may last until tomorrow (Monday 3/5/2012).
