After several days of near constant rain, several counties in southwest Montana are under a Flood Watch.

We won't be surprised if this Flood Watch gets extended as rain continues for most of Monday and is forecasted into at least Tuesday.

Homes and buildings in low lying areas should take extra precaution.

Be safe and do NOT cross any roads that have water from streams covering them.

According to the National Weather Service:

The Flood Watch continues for...

  • A portion of southwest Montana, including the following areas, Beaverhead, Gallatin, and Madison counties.
  • WHEN: Through Monday evening
  • Rising water along small streams may lead to localized flooding.
  • PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
  • A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on current forecasts.
