Bozeman’s First Fire Engine A Narrow Fit Into The Pioneer Museum [VIDEO]

Bozeman's original fire engine was transported from Fire Station No. 3 into the Pioneer Museum last week, where it will now be on display for at least two years. The steam-powered, horse-drawn engine was acquired by the city in 1889. Pioneer Museum Director John Russell helped Bozeman firefighters very carefully move the beautiful antique into the museum. The display of more than thirty quilts at the Pioneer Museum has been extended through the summer. This quilt exhibit of Gallatin County heritage is shown through the eyes of the local fiber artists of the Bozeman Art Quilters.
