Temperatures may be warmer than what we've suffered through for the last week, but Gallatin County will see some fresh snow this weekend.

According to the National Weather Service:

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM SATURDAY TO NOON MONDAY.

  • LOCATIONS - TARGHEE PASS... WEST YELLOWSTONE... RAYNOLDS PASS... MONIDA PASS.
  • TIMING - PERIODS OF LIGHT TO OCCASIONALLY MODERATE SNOW WILL DEVELOP AND CONTINUE THROUGH MONDAY.
  • SOME FREEZING RAIN MAY MIX-IN WITH THE SNOW MONDAY MORNING IN THE VALLEYS.
  • SNOW ACCUMULATIONS - 1 TO 5 INCHES OF SNOW IN THE VALLEYS, INCLUDING MONIDA PASS.
  • 5 TO 10 INCHES OF SNOW IN THE MOUNTAINS, INCLUDING RAYNOLDS PASS, TARGHEE PASS, AND WEST YELLOWSTONE.
  • ICE ACCUMULATIONS - A GLAZE OF ICE FROM FREEZING RAIN IS POSSIBLE IN THE VALLEYS.
  • WINDS - 10 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 35 MPH.
  • VISIBILITY WILL BE REDUCED TO LESS THAN 1 MILE AT TIMES IN FALLING AND BLOWING SNOW.
  • TRAVEL WILL BE DIFFICULT AT TIMES DUE TO SNOW-COVERED ROADS AND BLOWING SNOW. FREEZING RAIN MAY CONTRIBUTE TO DIFFICULT DRIVING CONDITIONS.
