The  start time of our latest Winter Weather Advisory has been pushed back to 9 p.m. Monday evening, running through 5 p.m. Tuesday evening for snow across most of western Montana.

According to the National Weather Service:

 

  • WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT FROM 9 PM THIS EVENING TO 5 PM MST TUESDAY...
  • LOCATIONS... BATTLE RIDGE PASS... BOZEMAN... BOZEMAN PASS... TARGHEE PASS... WEST YELLOWSTONE... BIG HOLE PASS... CHIEF JOSEPH PASS... DILLON... MONIDA PASS... ENNIS... NORRIS HILL... RAYNOLDS PASS... TWIN BRIDGES.
  • SNOW LEVEL... 5500 FEET LOWERING TO VALLEY FLOORS THIS EVENING.
  • SNOW ACCUMULATIONS... 1 TO 3 INCHES IN THE VALLEYS AND 3 TO 7 INCHES IN THE MOUNTAINS.
  • TIMING... LIGHT RAIN AND SNOW WILL DEVELOP THIS AFTERNOON... WITH THE RAIN CHANGING OVER TO ALL SNOW THIS EVENING.
  • IMPACTS... ROADS ARE EXPECTED TO BECOME ICY AND SNOW COVERED AS TEMPERATURES FALL INTO THE 20S TONIGHT. VISIBILITY WILL BE REDUCED TO LESS THAN ONE MILE AT TIMES.
