406 Brewing Co. has created a special craft-brewed amber ale called Amber Waves of Pain, a limited edition brew that will help support The Gallatin Roller Girlz, the greater Bozeman and Big Sky area's roller derby league. The beer will be unveiled at 406 on Wednesday, December 12. Brew Kickoff Party details here:

Amber Waves of Pain, created by 406 Brewing Co.'s brewmaster Matt Muth, boasts "a derby-inspired craft-brewed amber ale." Muth told the Bozeman Chronicle, "each batch is made with 45 pounds of painstakingly processed dates, old world noble hops and a little chocolate malt. It has an earthy, woody flavor with floral and nutty undertones."

A brew kickoff party will take place at 406 Brewing Company at 101 East Oak in Bozeman on Wednesday, December 12 from 6 pm - 8 pm. Fifty cents of every pint sold will go toward the nonprofit Roller Girlz. The Girlz will be announcing their 2013 bout schedule during the party and will be on hand to answer questions about roller derby and how to get involved. There will be a photo booth and music by DJ Miss Illaneaous. A selection of Amber Waves of Pain merchandise will also be available.
