Starting today, AMBER Alerts may start popping up in your Facebook news feed.

Facebook announced today a partnership with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that will send AMBER Alerts to people’s Facebook news feeds in targeted search areas to help find a missing child after an alert has been issued.

“These alerts, which include photographs and other details about the missing child, are shown on mobile and desktop. People can share the alert with friends and link directly to the National Center’s missing child poster, which always has the most up-to-date information about the case,” according to Facebook.

Today (Jan. 13) is National AMBER Alert Day. It is 19 years since the day Amber Hagerman was abducted, according to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children
