With David Fincher and Christian Bale out of the running for the Aaron Sorkin-scripted Steve Jobs biopic, it seems that Sony is now looking to have Danny Boyle direct the film, and he's approached Leonardo DiCaprio to star.

Though many of the 2014 Oscar Nominations seemed inevitable (we're looking at you, 'Gravity,' '12 Years a Slave' and 'American Hustle'), there were a number of surprises -- some pleasant, some less so. But perhaps the biggest "Huh?" was the best song nomination for 'Alone Yet Not Alone.' It turns out that the film violated campaigning rules, and has been disqualified.

One of this spring's biggest question marks is Darren Aronofsky's 'Noah,' which has Russell Crowe playing the titular hero, the biblical figure who saved his family and all the animals with his giant ark. Now the film has a final poster that suggests Noah is ready for action.

Two days ago, it was announced that the revered holiday classic 'It's a Wonderful Life' was up to get a sequel called 'It's a Wonderful Life: The Rest of the Story.' But today, Paramount, who owns the rights to the original film and the short story on which the film was based, have said that it can't happen without their involvement and they're willing to get litigious over it.

Last we heard, three-time Oscar winner Jack Nicholson wasn't totally retired, but the 76-year old had become so choosy about his work that it's possible 2010's 'How Do You Know' could be his last feature film. Well, not if Tom Cruise has anything to say about it, as he's wooing Jack to star along with him in 'El Presidente' for his 'Edge of Tomorrow' director Doug Liman.

The primary cast of the original 'Star Wars' trilogy have all but guaranteed they'll be showing up in the J.J. Abrams-directed 'Star Wars: Episode 7,' though there was a question if Harrison Ford would return.
