Step Inside Shawn O'Donnell's: Butte's Newest Dining And Drinking Hotspot

There's exciting news in Butte, Montana and it comes in the form of a new business. A brand new Irish pub at 123 North Main Street. It's got a beautiful, historic façade and it's name is Shawn O'Donnell's American Grill and Irish Pub.

Shawn O'Donnell's is an award winning restaurant and pub with locations in Everett, Spokane, Seattle, Fremont, Skagit Valley, and now Butte, Montana. (They were the 2023 People's Choice winner of the Seattle Times' Best in the PNW. Not too shabby!)

This new business is exciting news for Butte. Having another quality place for food and drink, with an established reputation for high standards is always a good thing. Opening a large business is a huge local investment, and Shawn O'Donnell's is a family owned business, by the way.

If you know Butte, you'll know the building where Shawn O'Donnell's is located. It's a historical landmark from 1884, and it's the same space that used to be Mac's Tavern. The new pub will also include some space next door and they've done lots of renovation to the space.

Shawn O'Donnell's American Grill and Irish Pub is known for fun themed events, pub trivia nights, live Irish music sessions, whiskey tastings, etc. Their existing locations also make a very big deal of St. Patrick's Day as you can imagine. Expect fun events and tons of specials on food and drinks.

This new Butte location will be their very first outside of the state of Washington. "And now our story continues. If you are familiar with us, you probably know who Irish Johnny is. Born and raised in Ireland, he has helped us stay true to our Irish roots. He shared his love for Butte, Montana with us, which brought us to our newest location."
