Halloween weekend isn't just for kids. Adults love to get in on the fun as well, and I always find it interesting how people's personalities seem to change when they're in a costume. I also enjoy seeing the time and effort revelers put into their costumes. A handful of bars around town are offering some pretty decent cash prizes too. Scroll down to see some of your best bets for adult Halloween fun this weekend in Billings.

Play Inn

Join the Play Inn for a special Halloween-themed karaoke night on Friday, October 28.

Bugz's Bar and Casino

This popular Heights hotspot has two great events on Saturday. Starting at 2 pm, stop by for Halloween Trivia and Chili Cookoff. It's a fundraiser for a 4-year-old who is valiantly battling an inoperable brain tumor.  Stick around (or come back later) that night for live music from Nathan Racschkow, playing a great mix that includes rock and country. Costumes encouraged.

I like Manny's because there is plenty of room to spread out and have fun. They're hosting their OG Slasher Halloween Bash on Saturday night with cash prizes, "BOO-zy" drink specials, and a DJ.

Powder Horn Lounge

The Powder Horn kicks off "HalloWeekend" on Friday night with $3 Bud Light seltzers, shot specials, and karaoke starting at 9 pm.

LOOK: How Halloween has changed in the past 100 years

Stacker compiled a list of ways that Halloween has changed over the last 100 years, from how we celebrate it on the day to the costumes we wear trick-or-treating. We’ve included events, inventions, and trends that changed the ways that Halloween was celebrated over time. Many of these traditions were phased out over time. But just like fake blood in a carpet, every bit of Halloween’s history left an impression we can see traces of today.
