Below, you can find details about two recent incidents that resulted in arrests that occurred on January 3, 2026. The Bozeman Police Department released the following information.

High-Speed Chase on I-90
On January 3, 2026, at 2:08 p.m., officers attempted a traffic stop of a vehicle that resulted in a pursuit. The pursuit proceeded west on I-90, where the suspect vehicle was driving at a high rate of speed. Due to a number of safety factors, officers discontinued the pursuit at the I-90 Jackrabbit exit. A short time later, a citizen contacted 911 and gave the location of the suspect vehicle in Bruce Industrial Park, where the suspect ditched their vehicle and fled on foot. The Belgrade Police Department responded to the area, located the suspect, and took them into custody. The suspect was held at the Gallatin County Detention Center on numerous charges, including criminal endangerment and criminal possession of dangerous drugs with intent to distribute, both felony offenses. Person Stabbed at Lucky Lil's Casino
On January 3, 2026, at 8:11 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Lucky Lil's Casino at 2401 West Main Street for the report that a person had been stabbed. The stabbing victim was transported to an area hospital for medical treatment and later released. In the course of the investigation, it was learned that the suspect and victim had a verbal altercation inside the casino that later resulted in a physical altercation outside in the parking lot where the stabbing occurred. Further investigation found a second suspect had tried to run the victim over in a car after they were stabbed, and the victim had to jump out of the way of the vehicle to avoid being hit. The stabbing suspect and the suspect who was driving the vehicle were both taken into custody and held at the Gallatin County Detention Center on the charge of attempted deliberate homicide.
