Bozeman residents voiced their frustration about crews filming for Taylor Sheridan's Yellowstone spinoff 'Madison' in downtown Bozeman this week.

Downtown Bozeman turned into a Hollywood backlot this week, and not everyone was happy about it. While some residents were excited to see Bozeman in the spotlight, others voiced frustration over blocked sidewalks, parking shortages, and the disruption to their daily routines.

If you ask longtime residents, they'll give you an earful about how filming for movies and TV shows is ruining their beloved state. Most of the Hollywood productions don't give an accurate representation of what life is actually like in Big Sky Country. The influx of wealthy out-of-staters has made life much more difficult for many that live in the state.

This week, when crews were filming at JW Heist on Main St. in Bozeman, residents were quick to share their disapproval.

Bozeman constantly being in the spotlight creates major problems for locals. Home prices keep rising and the availability of housing is scarce. Residents are sick and tired of their city being used as a set for big Hollywood productions, and didn't hesitate to share they're feelings.

Bozeman is the well that Taylor Sheridan continues to go back to until it’s dry.

Why are they using a restaurant that doesn't even represent Bozeman?

Not everyone was upset about seeing film crews in Bozeman, and feel that it provides a positive boost to Montana's economy.

Idk why people get so pissed off! They bring so much money into our state and they employ a lot of Montanans. I’m one of them.

It cracks me up how much people complain about this. If there wasn't any tourism the valley would be so broke.
