With a big snow day like we're having today, a lot of folks wonder how exactly do they determine what roads to plow, and what order do they plow them? Well, the city of Bozeman and the county do have a plan.

Here is the priority for which streets get plowed first:

  • Subdivisions & residential streets are not plowed until four or more inches have fallen.
  • Crews plow most routes between 3 a.m. and 8 a.m.
  • Blue street signs means those roads are privately maintained.
  • Receive updates on where Bozeman will be plowing here.

Here is a map with the plow routes & priorities marked by colors.
