The Bozeman Recreation Department has teamed up with the Gallatin National Forest Avalanche Center to offer 2 FREE classes on avalanche awareness and beacon practice all in one!  Details here on dates and times and how you can sign up:

The Bozeman Recreation Department along with the Gallatin National Forest Avalanche Center is offering a couple avalanche awareness and beacon practice classes.  These classes are free of charge to adults; however children are welcome to attend as well.  The Beall Recreation Center is installing a Beacon Park this winter for the community to use, depending on how much snow we get.  You can call their office at 406-582-2290 or visit them online at bozeman.net/recreation to sign up.  The classes are:

*Tuesday, December 15 - 6 - 8 pm @ Beall Park, Co-Ed Class

*Wednesday, January 6 - 6 - 8 pm @ Beall Park, Women’s Class
