A bout with pneumonia has forced Chris Isaak off the road. He has canceled the entirety of a month-long U.S. tour — 17 shows that comprised the rest of his concert schedule for the year — that was supposed to begin in a week and a half.

"As my fans know, I'm a pretty healthy clean living rock and roller,” he said in a statement on his website. “It's really unusual for me to cancel shows but the good news is, I'm on the mend and look forward to getting back with my band as soon as I'm 100 percent. I want to thank my fans in advance for their good wishes.”

The tour was scheduled to begin on Nov. 7 at the Paramount Theater in Rutland, Vt., and conclude at the Saban Theater on Dec. 4. The post adds that Isaak is expected to make a full recovery and return to the road in 2017. Fans who have bought tickets can exchange them at the point of purchase. His most recent album is First Comes the Night, which was released in 2015.
