Across the street from where I'm staying has become a real life, ever increasing display of rad. I love Christmas lights, inflatable snowmen, blinking reindeer and flashing stars.

When I was a kid, my dad put up the obligatory fat bulb multi-colored lights around the garage and that was about it for the outside tribute to baby Jesus which was fine with me. They greeted us every time we pulled in the driveway during the holiday season.

HOWEVER - I will always have a special place in my heart for those folks who go the extra ten miles every holiday season to deck their halls beyond any normal person's boundary. These are the people who actively seek new additions to their collections each year such as the latest and greatest light up Nutcracker sets and such.

To you...fine Christmas decoration loving people, I send thanks. Your efforts in set up, stapling and ever-increasing power bills do not go unnoticed on me. Your homes aglow in the electric holiday awesomeness, are what actually bring smiles to children and grown ups alike.
