Chuck Berry has passed on, but his rock 'n' roll legacy is still alive — and it's set to expand with the release of his final album, Chuck, whose first single "Big Boys," featuring Tom Morello and Nathaniel Rateliff, is out now.

Following through on an earlier announcement from Berry's estate, "Big Boys" arrived March 22, just four days after his death at age 90. According to Berry's family, the release plan for the Chuck LP remained unchanged after his death, including the timing of the rollout for the album details and the first single.

"Big Boys," which you can stream above, finds Berry working alongside Morello and Rateliff — two artists who were very young the last time he released an album of new music, but whose music he's undeniably impacted. As Morello told Ultimate Guitar, he started out as just another Chuck Berry imitator before being struck with the epiphany that helped him discover the instrument on his own terms.

"The electric guitar is a relatively new instrument on this planet. You should not assume that the way it's been played so far is the only way that it can be played," said Morello. "When I deconstructed it all in my mind, I realized it wasn't about learning Chuck Berry licks, it's more about what sort of sound does this thing make and how can those noises be made into songs? It really took off from there."

Chuck is scheduled to arrive in stores June 16, and is available to pre-order now. Check out the complete track listing below.
