Foo Fighters star Dave Grohl performed a special, invite-only acoustic set at the Villa Alang Alang Cannes Lions in Cannes, France, last night (June 22). We've tracked down a couple of videos from this show, which you can see above and below.

Prior to performing his 2005 hit "Best of You," Grohl shared an amusing story about the night he found himself a bit high and suddenly expected to follow up a live set from none other than Paul McCartney (at a different private party we weren't invited to), only to have that performance suddenly turn into a duet with Taylor Swift.

Earlier this year, Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins revealed that the band would be taking a bit of a break, which prompted enough "Dave's leaving the band!" speculation to cause the band to create a hilarious video response – and to formally declare that "nobody's f---ing going solo." Their most recent album was 2014's Sonic Highways, which found the band working with famous guest stars from various major U.S. cities.

According to the press release, Cannes Lions is "an eight-day program of creative inspiration, celebration, education and networking. Over 15,000 delegates from around 100 countries attend the Festival, making it the only truly global meeting-place for branded communications professionals to connect, share and discover."  The event was hosted by Live Nation and Citi.
