FOX’s ‘Empire’ Renewed for Season 3, Pass the Cookies
FOX’s Empire may not be the same cultural force in Season 2 as its breakout first year, but Taraji P. Henson’s recent Golden Globe win certainly isn’t going to waste. The Lyon family will be back to squabbling in Season 3, as FOX confirms an official renewal for fall 2016.
Even with Empire on hiatus all the way until March 30, FOX confirmed at the Television Critics Association press tour that a third plate of Cookie season of Empire was indeed in the works for the next cycle. After all, the series still ranks as broadcast TV’s number one show in 18-49 , reaching upwards 20 million viewers on average.
Don’t forget the latest trailer for its midseason return, as well:
Not to mention, the second season introduced guest stars the likes of Mariah Carey, Adam Busch, Andre Royo, Kelly Rowland, Marisa Tomei, Adam Rodriguez, Chris Rock, Lenny Kravitz and Alicia Keys, sure to double up on stars in Season 3.
No word on episode order as of yet, but was there any doubt on an Empire Season 3? Might the series still return to its former heights?
