Glastonbury Announces 2016 Lineup Featuring Muse, Coldplay, LCD Soundsystem + More
Muse, Coldplay, LCD Soundsystem, Beck and many more have been confirmed for this year’s Glastonbury, but despite last year’s rumors, Foo Fighters will not make an appearance at the music festival.
Festival organizers previously revealed Muse, Coldplay and Adele will headline the 2016 edition. Today (March 29), they have unveiled the entire lineup, which also includes reunited and festival-bound LCD Soundsystem, Beck, Grimes, M83, James Blake, the Last Shadow Puppets, Vince Staples, Kamasi Washington, PJ Harvey, New Order, Dolly Parton, Savages, Kurt Vile, Bat for Lashes, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Art Garfunkel, Mac DeMarco, CHVRCHES and many more. Foo Fighters were scheduled to headline last year’s Glastonbury, but they were forced to cancel their appearance after Dave Grohl broke his leg during a concert a few weeks earlier. Afterward, rumors quickly emerged that the band had already been booked to headline the following year’s festival a good 12 months in advance. Today’s announcement, of course, proves that will not be the case.
Glastonbury will take place June 22-26 in Pilton, England. The festival also plans to screen David Bowie’s 2000 Glasto headlining set in full in memory of the singer, who passed away in January.
