I WANT MY MOMMY

To be honest, there have only been a couple of times since I lost my mom that I REALLY felt like I needed her. Sure, we often miss those who aren't around anymore but when you stop and think about those time when you'd give your right arm for your mom to take care of you......you know you're sick.

I had one of those moments last night as I was fitfully trying to sleep and the snow was coming down for the first time this season. Battling this bug has been my life's work for the past three days and without getting into the sordid details of why I'm sick in the first place.....let me just say this:

To those of you who no longer have your mommy around to take care of you (even as a grown adult), I am one of you.

To those of you who still have your mom around to tell you you're wonderful (even when you're not), bail your ass out of jail or make you your favorite food when you're sick - appreciate her now. She may not be there tomorrow. -Michelle
