While Montana is the 4th biggest state as far as landmass goes, it seems that the majority of the over 1 million residents live in the western part of the state. Towns like Billings, Bozeman, Butte, Great Falls, Helena, and Missoula carry most of the population, but for those who are looking to live in a smaller town, you do have choices.
In fact, a Montana real estate company has come out with a list of the Top 20 Most Affordable Lake Towns in the Pacific Northwest and it just so happens that a handful of Montana towns made the list.

The folks over at Santos Family Realty shared the list on their TikTok page and if you're looking to live in a Montana lake town, the good news is you have options. When you think of Montana lakes, most folks think of Flathead and while Flathead and surrounding towns made the list, there are others that you need to check out.
