However, early Friday evening a fire broke out, which resulted in significant damage to the structure.  The McAllister Inn Steakhouse isn't just a restaurant, it's also a place where weary travelers can come off the road and spend an evening in a comfortable bed. The owner stated the Inn received no damage as it was all confined to the restaurant and bar area and luckily, no one was injured during the blaze.
