Legendary Local Montana Steakhouse Goes Up In Flames
For those who love a good steak, you have options here in The Treasure State.
If you're new to Montana, you'll soon learn that we take that whole "Beef, It's For Dinner" thing to a new level. Montana produces some of the best beef in the world, which means we have some of the best steakhouses around. Unfortunately, one of those suffered severe damage this past weekend.
Located just outside and north of Ennis is the McAllister Inn Steakhouse, a popular destination for those looking to dine on some delicious Montana beef.

However, early Friday evening a fire broke out, which resulted in significant damage to the structure. The McAllister Inn Steakhouse isn't just a restaurant, it's also a place where weary travelers can come off the road and spend an evening in a comfortable bed. The owner stated the Inn received no damage as it was all confined to the restaurant and bar area and luckily, no one was injured during the blaze.
The Madison Country Sheriff's Department released the following statement on Facebook at 4:32 PM on Friday:
"***URGENT*** Multiple agencies responding to a fully involved structure fire at 5566 US Hwy 287 N (McAllister Inn). Northbound lane of US 287 partially blocked. PLEASE AVOID THE AREA UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE."
What makes McAllister Inn Steakhouse so special?
Like many Montana steakhouses, the McAllister Inn Steakhouse is a place where people from all backgrounds can come and enjoy a drink from the bar and a delicious meal. The menu is full and features something for everyone. From bar-b-q to pasta, and of course, ribs and steaks.
Loved by locals and tourists, the Steakhouse has been a big part of the community for years. As more details become available, we will pass them along.
