This event would be pretty incredible for locals to attend.

Professional Sports in Montana

We love what we have.

Montana is one of the lowest-populated states.

The most populous city in Montana, Billings, is ranked #243 in America.

Professional sports teams want massive markets with large populations to sell tickets, apparel, and TV rights.

What does Montana have instead?

We have some junior hockey teams, an arena football team in Billings, and several independent baseball teams.

These players are working to get signed or scouted by professional sports teams.

Many families and kids love watching these teams and cheer them to victory.

There might be an opportunity for a professional sports event to come to Montana, and we have an idea.

It's been making significant waves with golf fans across America.

Whereas PGA tours are more subdued and calm, LIV golf events are more of a party and have an upbeat atmosphere.

PGA golf events play at a few courses, but LIV golf events have been branching out to new and exciting spots.

That notion got us thinking.

LIV Golf in Montana?

It's a possibility.

LIV Golf posted their tournaments for 2025, and there are some interesting stops.

They are playing tournaments in Michigan and Virginia, among many international spots.

Why do we think Montana could be a possibility?

Two reasons.

Two golfers on the LIV Tour are massive fans of Montana. Phil Mickelson and Bryson Dechambeau. Phil Mickelson owns property in Big Sky, and both players participated in The Match at Moonlight Basin a few years ago with Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers.

The Reserve at Moonlight Basin would be a perfect location for a LIV tour stop.

The course was designed by golf legend Jack Nicklaus and the views are impeccable.

It would present an incredible opportunity for Montanans to see professional golf up close in a fun setting.

Let's hope LIV comes to Montana in 2026.
