Montana State Football is right around the corner. The season is kicking off in about a month, and Bobcat fans are excited for the upcoming season.

After a fantastic 2024 season, Bobcat fans are gearing up for what's to come in 2025. There are several crucial games on the Bobcats' schedule, including road games against the University of Oregon and the Montana Grizzlies.

Montana State lost several players to graduation, the NFL Draft, and transfers to new schools.

The coaches did a fantastic job finding high school, junior college, and transfer players to beef up the ranks for the upcoming season.

One recruit that garnered the most attention was a high school quarterback from Glacier.

The three-star quarterback was offered scholarships from several college programs like Boise State, Arkansas, and Arizona, but decided to stay home and play for the Montana State Bobcats.

Well, he has changed his mind.

Montana State Recruit Flips Decision

Back to the drawing board.

Montana Sports reports that the top player for the Montana State Bobcats in their 2026 recruiting class has decided to play for another college when his high school career is over.

As you can see, he will be playing for Sacramento State in 2026.

Why? Only time will tell.

Sacramento State is leaving the Big Sky Conference and wants to move up to the FBS ranks. They will have to wait until 2027 to find out.
