Bozeman welcomes more annual visitors than almost any other city in the state due to its proximity to Yellowstone National Park. Each year, thousands of tourists travel to Bozeman which serves as a base camp for those wanting to explore the wonders of Montana. However, Bozeman wasn't always the happening place that it is today. For many years, most people in the rest of the country didn't even know that it existed.
If you're new to Bozeman, you may not know how much it has changed, but for longtime residents who have witnessed it firsthand, the city is much different that it once was. Unfortunately, a few historical buildings have been torn down and replaced with commercial developments. The Baxter Hotel in downtown Bozeman was built in 1929, and still looks fairly similar today.
