I missed the episode but heard all about Jared turning down a pretty sweet amount of money. However, a "sweet amount of money" is relative to someone as smart as Jared Joyce. Sounds like he's going to be just fine. Details here:

Jared Joyce, a Bozeman resident and professional inventor, appeared on ABC’s hit series “Shark Tank” Friday, February 24. Jared Joyce faced the Sharks seeking a $250,000 investment for twenty-five percent stake in his “Five Minute Furniture” invention, a patented furniture system that enables quick and easy assembly with no tools required.

While the sharks did offer Jared a $250,000 investment for one-hundred percent ownership of his invention, Jared declined the offer and ultimately walked away empty-handed – but only momentarily.
