Do you want to share your love of fishing with your little ones?

Two events are coming up in Bozeman to get kids familiar with the sport.

Bozeman Sunrise Rotary will host its annual Kids Fishing Day on Saturday, May 21 at the East Gallatin Recreation Area where kids ages 1-13 can enjoy a free day of fishing.

Registration starts at 9 a.m., followed by two hours of fishing. There’s a free lunch for all kids and parents, as well as goody bags.

Prizes will be awarded in each age and gender category for the largest and most fish caught.

Then, on Saturday, June 4, the Bozeman Optimists Fishing Derby will be held at the Bozeman Pond Park, part of the Gallatin Valley Land Trust’s National Trails Day celebration. The derby takes place from 7:30 to 11 a.m.
