Live From the Divide Leaves Bozeman for Larger Livingston Space
For 14 years, Live From The Divide quietly built something special in Bozeman. Tucked inside a weathered 1906 cold storage building, the small listening room officially opened in 2012 and spent years creating something truly unique for songwriters and listeners.
With only 50 seats, every show was up close and personal. I was lucky enough to catch a few shows there over the years, including The War and Treaty, Vincent Neil Emerson, and Micky & the Motorcars.
It built a reputation that far outgrew its limited capacity, with almost every show booked selling out immediately.

In early 2026, Jason Wickens and his wife, Jackie, made the difficult decision to relocate to Livingston at the historic Empire Theatre. The new space doubles the listening room capacity to 100 seats while aiming to preserve the same focused, intimate experience.
We have been overwhelmed by the incredible support from the community of Livingston and are excited and grateful to continue a new chapter of the Divide is such a beautiful and inspiring place. Long live the songwriter!
I'm not going to lie, when I first heard the news, I was a little bummed. Bozeman is changing so fast, and I loved being so close to such a really cool place. With that being said, I'm really looking forward to listening to great music inside the Empire Theatre.
The next chapter is already taking shape. Live From The Divide has teamed up with the Old Saloon for a summer concert series, including a July 12 concert featuring Lukas Nelson.
