Metallica Is Launching Their Own Summer Music Festival

Metallica is putting together a two day festival, called the Orion Music and More Festival, which will be held June 23rd and 24th in Atlantic City. Metallica will headline both nights, the rest of the lineup will consist of some of their favorite bands. Check out some of the bands (a few may surprise you).

When you're mega rock star veterans like Metallica you can headline your own music festival, and put together a lineup of bands you dig. Metallica will headline both nights, but they're doing completely different sets. They are reportedly playing the entire "Black Album" the first night and all of "Ride The Lightning" the second. The Orion Music and More Festival lineup includes Arctic Monkeys, Avenged Sevenfold, Modest Mouse, the Gaslight Anthem, Cage the Elephant, Hot Snakes, Titus Andronicus and Gary Clark Jr. More will be announced later.
